Description
My first time drawing a Carousel Horse, hard to make it look aged and weathered, something I will probably come back too later on and attempt again. Still hard to get depth and have a decent background, but with this I like the colors in it.
The concept for this drawing came off a picture of Lily Cole. Changed around her face a little as well as the carousel horse and the background.

good work Jeremy, one of your better pieces! a couple of points you need to work on (this is all just my opinion of course)...the eyes (that is the whites) need more shading. they look flat and theres no indication of the inner canthus. a bit more detail work on the eyes and they will have more life. also you gotta work on anatomy some more. her arm and hands seem to have no bones or muscles, kind of the "stuffed sausage" appearance to them. on a thin child like this her wrist and finger bones should have some prominence. also the first 3 fingers all appear to be the same length. that b/g is def a bit bright and busy, but adding a warm gray wash (just a light layer) underneath before you put down the green might have toned it down a bit. anyway i hope you find my comments constructive! keep at it!
